22. Indira's Butterfly Meditation

Indira's Butterfly Meditation:

Bringing your focus to the ROOT CHAKRA, the survival chakra. Envision the tiny egg of the butterfly resting on the leaf that it will begin to eat when it emerges as a caterpillar. A little caterpillar is beginning to grow in that egg. Envision yourself like that little caterpillar all safe and snug growing happily in its little egg.

Raising your focus to the SACRAL CHAKRA, the sexuality and desire chakra. Envision the larva stage of the butterfly. At this stage a caterpillar hatches from the egg emerging into the light. Imagine the wonder of seeing light for the first time.

Come to the SOLAR PLEXUS CHAKRA, the power and will chakra. Envision the pupa stage of the butterfly. Here the caterpillar, once it has reached its full size, wraps itself in its silky cocoon to begin the process of metamorphosis. Reflect on your life's metamorphosis that has taken you from childhood to a mature thinking adult.

Now we reach the HEART CHAKRA, the love and relationship chakra. Here, now changed into a butterfly, it bursts forth from the cocoon. As the butterfly feeling the warmth of the sun on it's outstretched wings for the first time envision your soul stretching out and expanding beyond your heart center.

Reaching the THROAT CHAKRA, the communication chakra, here envision the new butterfly trying out it's wings for the very first time, flapping and rising above the Earth. Imagine your soul lifting up and out of your body free of both the physical and mental the trappings that hold us down.

Coming to the THIRD EYE CHAKRA, the intuition chakra, the butterfly now having a bird's eye view sees the world in such a different way than it had as a caterpillar. Envision the eyes of your soul taking in the Earth around you as you rise up from the Earth. Focus on the beauty of the Earth from a bird's eye view.

Now we arrive at the CROWN CHAKRA, the higher consciousness chakra. Fully matured and fully awakened the butterfly enjoys the gifts of the Source of Life. Here envision yourself fully awakened, free and filled with the joy from the Source of Life.
